As 1st time mum at 39yrs I focused on the stories of horrific sleepless nights so dreaded the first years!!! Sía (our daughter) came along and slept 12 happy hours a night from 10 weeks old..... Happy parents hey!?! On her 1st birthday because she was ill for 6weeks consequently throwing any sleep pattern well out of the window. Our working lives were thrown upside down and subconsciously accustomed to sleep.
We came across Laura Sleep Nanny, whom we warmed to straight away. Immediately she put words into practice with Sía with a very simple plan. My husband and I got to work straight away and were advised it may take a little time. However it worked!!!! It worked within 48 hours we were flabbergasted!!! Laura supported us even through the times everything ran smooth she still supported us and was extremely professional and knowledgeable throughout. Life has turned around for both us and our daughter, Sía enjoys her days more eats more and above all gives mummy and daddy the lost joy ever again... We have our routine and our lives back..... My 22 month old has always been a horrible sleeper. We have tried all sorts of things to help, not knowing how long to persevere or whether we were even doing the right things. We often ended up giving up due to sheer exhaustion. With a new baby on the scene though, we decided to seek professional help. Laura provided us with a clear plan tailored to our family situation, and demonstrated great knowledge of the science behind children's sleep, leaving us comfortable that, though it would be tough, this was a plan we could stick to.
It was a very difficult few weeks, and we can't yet say we have a perfect sleeper; but Aria's sleep has vastly improved, both in the length of time she will stay in bed, and our ability to resettle her with ease during the night. The amount of night wakings has has also reduced greatly. I'm so pleased to see Aria's quality of sleep getting better, and am thankful to Laura for her knowledge and support. She genuinely cared about helping us to reach our goals. Thank you Laura!
Laura has proved fundamental in helping getting out twin girls into a successful sleeping pattern. Getting twins into a routine is so much more complex that I could I've imagined and Laura has been so patient with me and my frustrations for the last few months. She has been on hand every step of the way and has combined extensive knowledge with patience and determination and I have loved every minute of our chats and my baby venting!
My girls suffered from early rising which Laura explained is one of the more harder sleep challenges to solve, but we did it and now the girls sleep 7pm to 6.30pm. Before they woke every few hours. Thank you Laura for your help and patience at my twin cotton wool head and for being our life saver!!!!!!! x x x
I can not recommend Laura highly enough. Alfie my 14 month old has gone from waking multiple times per night (at least every four hours but often more) to sleeping through the last five out of seven nights. The sleep clinic run by health visitors said that they didn’t ever think he would sleep through but by following Laura’s advice, he is doing it!! I feel so much better in myself and he’s much happier. Thank you Laura. You have changed our lives for the better and made things better for my whole family!
We first started working with Laura when Arlo was almost 5 months old as we had developed the habit of breastfeeding him to sleep many many times in the night and day which he was heavily reliant on to get to sleep. Straight away Laura was confident that this can be fixed and knew exactly how it could be done. Laura's advice and expertise was tailored to us and she was happy for things to go at a pace we were happy with also. Laura was there though some big milestones such as moving him into his own room, weaning, first holiday and giving up the dummy. All of these required lots of practical advice and also lots of emotional support which I was very grateful for. I always felt able to approach Laura by text or email in between our phone calls and having someone to run stuff by was the most invaluable part of the support for me. Im so glad we went ahead with the sleep support its really turned things around and things are so much better, we now have a baby who sleeps in his own room, has a great bedtime routine and good naps in the day, is able to resettle and all without a dummy. Arlo also has parents who are happier and able to confidently go forwards with a tool kit for the future provided by Laura so a huge thank you!
